it has been over a month since i updated my blog, and quite a bit has been going on, which is directly related to my lack of updates. i quite literally have everything on my phone and my mobileme to try and keep everything straight, and i still cant... thats a sign its pretty crazy. so here is a summation of what has happened in the past month.
- after the sacramento trip and getting engaged, i jumped right back into work to get my classroom ready. yes, i go in when i am not getting paid. im special, i tell ya. grad school started again on a tuesday, school started on wednesday... LONG first week.
- my parents are wonderful and went out and found places for the wedding reception, since i had to go to work and class. they narrowed it down for us and went with the one that made the most sense for how big this thing is going to be... uhm... huuuuge. so the church and reception place are DONE.
- i have been watching a lot of TLC's say yes to the dress, and i have to tell you, every time one of those girls cries over a freakin dress, i think they look so ridiculous. so when i ended up going dress shopping with my mom and elizabeth, i made numerous appointments because i knew, i kneeeeewww it would take days to find one because im a stickler about being uber-comfortable. the third dress, and i was BAWLING. i knew it was the one... love love love it! jeff says not to hype it up too much, so ill also say that it totally blows... like, worst dress ever. ;-)
- grad school this semester has been interesting. i have the same prof for both my classes, and i swear, i dont think i read this much as an undergrad, and im teaching and reading two novels with my kids right now on top of it all. its a good things that its all quite interesting because i am very tired of reading.
- fall tv: sister wives (oh lordy), house hunters, oprah (shush, you know you love it, plus its her last season), teen mom (GARY! GET THE $%#@ OUT FOR THE 148579 TIME!), and made men (trying to get into it, and i am finally starting to enjoy it). but glee has been a bit of a disappointment. maybe because i want to smack lea michelle across the face because she grates on my soul... maybe.
- saw and MET sara bareilles. pretty chill girl, plus she totally bashed on justin beiber, so i think i have a girl crush on her. :)
- my brother david got engaged the day after me; did i mention that? so we get to celebrate that in july! we never do anything small, my family.
- speaking of my family, we found out today that my brother in law is IN REMISSION. and i found a congrats card that says "you deserve a cookie... okay, maybe two"... of course i bought it.
- back on my morning gym schedule, and oh man it hurts more than it did last year. maybe it's because i am juggling a little more... class, work, parent meetings, work meetings, fiance meetings (hah, i have to schedule you in, baby ;) ), wedding meetings, ortho, doctors, baaaahhh. im loving being this busy, but i am pretty much in the permanent state of tired.
and so, to top off an awesome day of good news, good teaching, and a good homemade dinner, i am off to bed at 9... quit while im ahead :)
